Congratulations to Camera Culture researchers Matthew Hirsch, Gordon Wetzstein and Professor Ramesh Raskar for their winning paper at IEEE ICCP 2014. The paper titled: A Switchable Light Field Camera Architecture with Angle Sensitive Pixels and Dictionary-Based Sparse Coding was a collaboration with researchers form Cornell University. The Cornell University researchers are Sriram Sivaramakrishnan, Suren Jayasuriya, Albert Wang, and Alyosha Molnar. The team proposes a flexible light field camera architecture that uses the same measurements captured in a single sensor image to recover either a high-resolution 2D image, a low resolution 4D light field, or a high-resolution light field.
