Last month Ramesh Raskar, Sunil Khandbahale, and John Werner gathered a group of leading innovators from MIT and Harvard to discuss their upcoming collaboration at Kumbh Mela – one of the largest international festivals in the world. Raskar and Khandbahale, both native to Nashik, stated their hopes to lead a large scale boot camp at the Kumbh with MIT researchers and students who live in Nashik. The bootcamp will aim to generate a number of new technologies to help mitigate issues related to this large-scale festival and the well being of the people. The room was filled with 50 impressive individuals from areas of interest across MIT. After the initial discussions the group split into small groups to brainstorm ideas for the bootcamp. The google doc for brainstorming is currently open to the public and can be found HERE Join the conversation by adding your ideas for this important initiative.
